The work being done on LA 496, Bayou Rapides Road, has been extended to Thursday, March 20th.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 and Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, weather permitting, LA 496; Bayou Rapides Road, will be closed to all traffic to remove trees.
Permit/Detour section
LA 496 West bound will detour to LA 3054 South, to 28 East, to US 71 North
La 496 East bound will detour to US 71 South, to LA 28 West, to LA 3054 North.
