UPDATE - REOPENED: US 80 west of Choudrant in Lincoln Parish


(UPDATE 3/22/2025): DOTD advises motorist that US 80 west of Choudrant in Lincoln Parish is now back OPEN to traffic following a cross drain pipe replacement. We appreciate your patience while this work was underway.

Original notification 3/10/2025:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, March 17, 2025, US 80, west of Choudrant in Lincoln Parish, will be closed approximately 3.0 miles east of LA 33.

The closure is anticipated to last 5 days, and should be open Friday, March 21, 2025, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to replace a cross drain pipe.

Restrictions/Permits:

Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route:

A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
