UPDATE: The closures have been extended through September 12, 2025.
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced there will be alternating left and right lane closures on LA 14 Southbound and Northbound from East Prien Lake Road to US 90 (Fruge Street), starting Monday, May 5, 2025, through Friday September 12, 2025.
The closure is necessary for work crews to perform pavement patching and curb repair. There is a 12-foot width restriction on LA 14 NB and SB.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
