The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, weather permitting, the ramp on I-49 (Southbound) over RAILROAD AVE AND UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD will be closed to all traffic for bridge repair. The ramp is at Exit 86, that carries traffic from I-49 Southbound to US 71/165 Southbound (MacArthur Dr) and is located at the I-49 AND US 71/165 INTERCHANGE. The I-49 Southbound to US 71 NORTHBOUND ramp will remain open.
Permit/Detour section
The road will be closed to all traffic while the repair is being performed by LA DOTD personnel.
Traffic will detour at Exit 90 to LA 498 West to LA 1 South to US 71/US 165 South.
