Daily shoulder closures on I-10 EB & WB: Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces intermittent shoulder closures in multiple locations. These will take place from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, starting Monday, February 24, 2025 through Thursday, February 27, 2025, and resuming Wednesday, March 5, 2025, through Monday, March 24, 2025.
The following areas will be closed:
- Right and left shoulder of I-10 Eastbound from Prater Road / Bayou D’Inde Pass Road to Kirkman Street
- Right and left shoulder of I-10 Westbound from Kirkman Street to Prater Road/Bayou D’Inde Pass Road
- All corresponding service roads from Prater Road/Bayou D’Inde Pass Road to Kirkman Street
These closures are necessary to conduct guardrail and cable barrier repair, bridge inspection and repair, roadway repair and inspection, drainage repair and maintenance, traffic sign repair or replace, mowing, debris pickup, as well as roadway lighting inspection and repairs.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
