H.015440 – LA 69 – Iberville Parish

Construction is underway for State Projects H.015440. This State Project is to perform concrete patching and panel leveling on LA 69 between 0.5 miles north of LA 404 and LA 1 in the Town of White Castle in Iberville Parish.
LA 69 will have a traffic shift between the intersections of LA 1 and LA 404. These traffic shifts are scheduled to begin Wednesday, February 5, 2025. These shifts will continue throughout the duration of the project. Traffic will be shifted both Northbound and Southbound onto the existing asphalt shoulders. Both lanes of travel will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect narrow lanes and delays when traveling through the work zone.
LA 69 will have a full closure beginning Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 AM, and extending thru Monday, June 2nd, 2025 at 7:00 AM between Mayor Doc Foley St. and Cambre St. No thru traffic will be allowed at this time. Motorists can take the following State detour:
From LA 1 NB: Continue past LA 69 to LA 993. Take a left onto LA 993. Take a left at the intersection of LA 993 and LA 404. Take another left at the intersection of LA 404 and LA 69.
From LA 1 SB: Before reaching LA 69, take a right onto LA 993. Take a left at the intersection of LA 993 and LA 404. Take another left at the intersection of LA 404 and LA 69.
From LA 69 NB: Turn left onto LA 404. Take a right onto LA 993 at the intersection of LA 993 and LA 404. Take another right at the interection of LA 993 and LA 1 SB. Take a right onto LA 69 at the intersection of LA 1.
This full closure is to make repairs to the railroad crossing at LA 69.

These traffic shifts are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
Restrictions: No permit or oversized loads greater than 10’ feet wide will be able to pass. These loads should contact the DOTD permit office for a new route.
