****NOW OPEN: LA 505 in Jackson Parish****


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 505 Bridge over Halfway Creek in Jackson Parish is closed for necessary bridge repairs.

The bridge is closed approximately 2.0 miles south of LA 4, south of Jonesboro.

The closure is anticipated to last 1 week, and should be open Friday, February 7, 2025.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
