Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is providing an update on the latest weather-related closures on state routes throughout Louisiana. Motorists should keep in mind that conditions change rapidly and roadways may be closed suddenly if they’re unsafe for travel.

Please note that some routes, such as I-10, may extend through many parishes, so motorists should reference the list for the specific areas in which they are interested. Motorists should also check 511la.org before traveling.

Below is a list of state roadways that are CLOSED as of January 24, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
  • Jefferson Parish
  • LA 3139 (Earhart Expressway) between Dickory Avenue and Hamilton Street

Drivers should avoid being on the roadways if travel is not absolutely necessary. As a reminder, it’s unlawful and unsafe to drive around a road closed barricade for any reason.
