LA 73 (Jefferson Hwy) - SB Lane Closure - East Baton Rouge Parish

ATTENTION
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that as of Thursday, May 01
to Friday, May 16, 2025, the eastbound outside lanes of LA 73 (Jefferson Hwy) will be closed from Drusilla Lane to Pine Park Dr. Access to all drives and side streets will be maintained.
The new configuration will allow crews to move equipment in and out of the work zone safer with less interruption to traffic.
· Eastbound traffic will be shifted to the center turn lane right before the I-12 onramp.
· Westbound traffic will be able to use the outside lane going toward I-12 from Bluebonnet.
· What was previously the inside lane for westbound traffic is now stripped as a center turn lane.
· Access to the Westminster Subdivision will be maintained throughout construction.
This closure is required to remove and replace roadway pavement, concrete drives, walks and drainage structures.
This closure is subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
