Update (6/11/2025): LA 562, Project#4400030445, tree removal has been completed and is open to all vehicular traffic.
DOTD appreciates your patience while the contractors completed tree removal.
Update (4/3/2025): Alternating lane closures on LA 562, Project#4400030445, has been extended until Saturday, June 14, 2025.
Update (1/29/2025): Alternating lane closures on LA 562, Project#4400030445, has been extended until Friday, April 4, 2025.
(12/2/2024) LA 562, Project#4400030445, in Franklin Parish, at the below locations, will have alternating lane closures during the day (No night work expected) beginning Friday, December 6, 2024, until approximately Friday, January 24, 2025, for contractors to complete tree removal.
US 562 Tree Removal Locations:
From the town of Wisner to Tom Kerrigan Road.
From Tom Kerrigan Road to the intersection of LA 873.
From the intersection of LA 873 to the intersection of LA 4.
Permit/Detour: No detour necessary. Lane closure only.
