LA 563 north of Simsboro in Lincoln Parish

UPDATE (12/30/2024) - Due to unforeseen weather and work delays, this closure will be reopened on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, November 25th, the LA 563 Bridge over a creek north of Simsboro in Lincoln Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.

The bridge will be closed approximately 1.6 miles south of LA 146.

The closure is anticipated to last 1 month, and should be open Friday, December 20, 2024.

Restrictions/Permits:

Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route:

A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using LA 563, LA 544, LA 151 and LA 146.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
