NOW OPEN - LA 580 over Jones Bayou east of Epps in East Carroll Parish

****NOW OPEN: LA 580 in East Carroll Parish****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, October 21st, the LA 580 Bridge over Jones Bayou, east of Epps, in West Carroll Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.
The bridge will be closed approximately 4.2 miles west of US 65.
The closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, and should be open Friday, November 1, 2024.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using US 65, LA 581, LA 881, LA 134, LA 877 and LA 580.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
