LA 6: US 171 to Natchitoches Parish Line

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning Monday, October 14th, 2024, weather permitting, construction will begin on the LA 6 resurfacing project in Many, LA. This project will begin near the railroad tracks on LA 6 (0.2 Miles West of the intersection with US 171), and extends to the Natchitoches Parish line. Expect alternating lane closures during daytime operations.
This construction project consists of asphalt patching, milling asphalt concrete, and installing asphalt concrete roadway.
The contract was awarded to Madden Contracting Co., LLC. in the amount of $21,388,784.65.
Permit/Detour section
There are no detours at this time associated with the lane closures.
There will be a lane width restriction of 12 feet for traffic on LA 6.
