UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 146 near Lake Claiborne in Claiborne Parish
(UPDATE 11/21/2024): DOTD advises motorists that the repairs to both bridges on LA 146 in Claiborne Parish are complete, and the roadway has been reopened. We appreciate your patience while this necessary work was underway.

(UPDATE 11/4/2024): DOTD advises motorists that the bridge closures on LA 146 in Claiborne Parish described below have been rescheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. These repairs are anticipated to take approximately 7 days to complete.

(UPDATE 10/16/2024): DOTD advises motorists that these bridge closures have been postponed, and will be rescheduled at a later date. DOTD will issue additional information when those dates have been finalized.

(Original notification 10/7/2024):
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, October 14, 2024, two bridges on LA 146 on the south side of Lake Claiborne in Claiborne Parish will be closed for necessary pile repair.
The first bridge to be closed is located just east of Harmon Loop and that bridge will be closed for approximately 7 days.
Once those repairs are complete, crews will immediately mobilize at the second bridge, which is located between Buck Prince Road and Coleman Road and will be closed for approximately 3 days. (see included maps below)
We appreciate the traveling public’s patience during these closures, as these repairs ensure that these bridges remain in service to the community.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified locations. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
