MONROE – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is asking for your feedback during a second public meeting to discuss various updates for a proposed safety improvement project on US 165 in the City of Monroe.
The purpose of the meeting is to solicit additional feedback from residents, elected officials, interested parties, and other stakeholders, as well as to provide updated information related to the project since the first public meeting was held in April 2023.
The project involves analyzing and developing a number of improvements for US 165 from Renwick Street to LA 15 (Winnsboro Road). These improvements are aimed at benefiting all types of road users, including bicyclists and pedestrians.
The public is encouraged to attend and provide comments, as this type of feedback is critical to the development of the project.

The meeting will be held in an open-house format, so attendees are free to come and go at their convenience during the allotted time frame. Comments provided at the meeting will be considered as part of the project development process.
