UPDATE: I-20 Westbound Tremont Rest Area is OPEN.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the Tremont Rest Area located on I-20 Westbound near Choudrant (mile marker 97) in Lincoln Parish is closed.
This closure is necessary due to plumbing issues in the women's bathroom.
The rest area will be closed until further notice, and DOTD will issue an update when additional information becomes available.
The Tremont Rest Area on I-20 Eastbound remains open at this time.
