DOTD announces emergency cross-drain work this weekend on LA 437 in Covington

Covington, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises north shore motorists of emergency cross-drain work scheduled this weekend in northern Covington, which will restrict access to LA 437 (Lee Rd.) north of the Bogue Falaya.

DOTD crews will replace a significant drainage cross-drain on LA 437 between Wildwood Ln. and Mulberry Grove Ln. beginning at 6 AM on Saturday, August 17. This will result in a half-mile closure scheduled to last through Sunday.

The cross-drain section will be removed and replaced entirely.

DOTD advises that motorists and emergency vehicles will not have access during the repair and that an alternate route will be required. All work is weather permitting.
