NOW OPEN: DOTD announces upcoming road closure on La. 3173 in Krotz Springs for railroad construction

UPDATE: DOTD announces that La. 3173 is now OPEN to traffic.
KROTZ SPRINGS, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, La. 3173 in Krotz Springs will be closed to all traffic at the Union Pacific railroad tracks from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is needed to allow Union Pacific Railroad to replace the crossing surface at this location.
Additionally, portions of La. 105 from Main Street to Railroad Avenue will be reduced to one-lane. Flaggers will be present at Main Street and Railroad Avenue to assist with traffic control.
Detour
The detour consists of U.S. 190 to the La. 105 off-ramp.
