DOTD announces start of maintenance work on Grand Point Highway (La. 347) in St. Martin parish

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - DOTD announces that beginning Wednesday, August 7, 2024, crews will begin work on a 4.5-mile section of La. 347 (Grand Point Highway) from South Poydras Street (La. 347) to La. 352 (Henderson Highway).
Work includes milling, conducted by the contractor, as well as asphalt overlay of the existing pavement being done by DOTD maintenance crews.
Work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists may encounter delays as a result of lane closures.
This work is estimated to last approximately three weeks.
