DOTD announces start of $2.4M project on La. 3096 in Evangeline Parish

EVANGELINE PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, August 12, 2024, construction will commence on an $2.4 million project on La. 3096 from Junction Road to U.S. 167 in Evangeline Parish.
This project will consist of milling asphaltic pavement, base reconstruction, asphalt overlay, installation of drainage structures, and related work.
The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work, therefore, drivers should expect delays. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10-foot maximum lane width restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access through this area.
The project is estimated for completion in December 2024.
