I-49 SB Exit Ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closure

I-49 southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles) will be closed the following nights, weather permitting:
- Monday, August 5 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, August 6 at 6:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, August 6 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, August 7 at 6:00 a.m.
The ramp closure is necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 SB will only be able to access I-10 WB via the posted detour route, which includes continuing southbound on I-49/US 90 to Willow St, turn east on Willow St, then take US 90 northbound to Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
