ACADIA PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, July 29, 2024 construction will commence on a $3.1 million dollar project on La. 365 from LA 370 (McCain Rd.) to La. 13 (Crowley-Eunice Highway) in Acadia Parish.

This project will consist of milling asphaltic concrete, in-place base rehab, sub-base treatment, asphaltic concrete overlay, drainage improvements, and related work.

The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers should expect delays due to alternating lane closures that will be required to perform the work.

There will be 12-foot width restrictions throughout the project during the above mentioned work hours.

There will also be a planned full road closure event during the project, which is necessary to install drainage structures across the roadway and a railroad crossing. The Department will publish a press release for this planned road closure event and a detour route will be posted.

Emergency vehicles will have access through this area, except during the planned road closure event which will be announced.

The project is estimated for completion in spring 2025.
