REMINDER: DOTD to hold public meeting for I-20 Widening/Overlay project in West Monroe

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds stakeholders that DOTD will conduct an open house public meeting for the I-20 Widening/Overlay project that stretches from just west of the LA 3249 (Well Road) interchange to west of the LA 34 (Stella/Mill Street) interchange in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish.

The proposed project will add a new travel lane to I-20 in both the eastbound and westbound directions with median barriers and shoulders. The new lanes will be located in the existing I-20 median. A 1,000-foot noise barrier with a 23-foot height is proposed at the Shadow Creek Apartments and Blanchard Street.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project improvements and to obtain input from interested parties. Representatives from DOTD and the consultant team will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project.

Oral and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the DOTD address shown at the bottom of this notice, postmarked by July 28, 2024. The public meeting has been scheduled as follows:

Thursday, July 18, 2024

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
