CANCELED: I-49 Southbound Exit Ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closure

UPDATE: THIS CLOSURE HAS BEEN CANCELED. WORK WILL BE PERFORMED AT A LATER DATE. The I-49 southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles) will be closed the following nights, weather permitting:
- Thursday, July 18 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, July 19 at 6:00 a.m.
- Sunday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, July 22 at 6:00 a.m.
- Monday, July 22 at 8:00 p.m. until Tuesday, July 23 at 6:00 a.m.
Tuesday, July 23 at 8:00 p.m. until Wednesday, July 24 at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, July 25 at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, July 26 at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 28 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, July 29 at 6:00 a.m. The ramp closure is necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 southbound will only be able to access I-10 westbound via the posted detour route, which includes continuing southbound on I-49/US 90 to Willow Street, turn east on Willow Street, then take US 90 northbound to Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
