Jefferson Davis Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that work has begun on the Interstate 10 at LA 26 lighting project in Jennings. The existing interstate lighting system is being replaced with energy-efficient alternatives.

Motorists should expect intermittent shoulder closures on I-10 and LA 26, including the I-10 entrance and exit ramps, throughout the duration of the project. Closures are necessary for work crews to remove and install lighting components and equipment as required by the project.

The $1.83 million project is anticipated to be completed by January 2026, weather permitting.

Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
