***UPDATE***RESCHEDULED:Traffic switch: I-10 EB (MM 43 to MM 46) – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a traffic switch on Interstate 10 Eastbound from Mile Marker 43 to Mile Marker 46. Traffic will be moved to the newly-constructed I-10 Eastbound diversion road.

Closures:
I-10 EB (MM 43 to MM 46)

Beginning at Mile Marker 43, the inside two lanes of I-10 Eastbound will be closed from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. on Sunday June 2, 2024. I-10 Eastbound will be reduced to one lane from Mile Marker 43 to Mile Marker 46 during this time.

These lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor to perform striping operations in conjunction with switching traffic onto the newly-constructed I-10 Eastbound Diversion Road.

I-10 EB at Exit 44 (US 165 – Kinder)
I-10 Eastbound at Exit 44 will be closed from 7:30 p.m.-4 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, to allow striping in conjunction with the I-10 Eastbound traffic swap.

Motorists wanting to access US 165 from I-10 should use the following detour routes:


US 165 SB
  • Exit LA 383, South on LA 383 to LA 3258, East on LA 3258 to US 165
  • Exit LA 101, South on LA 101 to I-10 South Frontage Road, West on I-10 South Frontage Road to US 165

US 165 NB
  • Exit LA 383, North on LA 383 to LA 101, East on LA 101 to US 165
  • Exit LA 101, North on LA 101 to US 165
