DOTD Announces Upcoming I-12 Closure for College Drive Flyover Project

Baton Rouge, La – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces an upcoming interstate closure associated with the College Drive Flyover project. This closure is necessary for the demolition of the existing I-10 westbound overpass. Following demolition, the new overpass will be widened to accommodate a separate exit lane for College Drive. All construction activities are weather dependent and are subject to change.

I-12 Eastbound:

  • Full closure from 10 P.M. Friday, May 10 to 5 A.M. Saturday, May 11.

Detour Information:
Traffic on I-10 eastbound wishing to take I-12 eastbound will continue on I-10 eastbound and take exit 160 (Essen Ln.), proceeding north (left turn) and continuing to the I-12 eastbound ramp.

We encourage motorists to familiarize themselves with the detour information prior to the closure to minimize any inconvenience.
