I-49 SB Exit Ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles), Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closure

I-49 Southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles) will have nightly lane closures beginning Wednesday, May 1 at 8:00 p.m. until Friday, May 3 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.
The ramp closures are necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations for the I-10 ramp.
Motorist traveling on I-49 SB will only be able to access I-10 WB via the posted detour route, which includes continuing southbound on I-49/US 90 to Willow Street, turn east on Willow Street, then take US 90 northbound to Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the southbound exit ramp at Exit 1B (I-10 West: Lake Charles).
Detour routes will be posted during the ramp closure periods.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions with this work.
