UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 3121, Union Parish


(UPDATE 4/26/2024): DOTD advises motorists that this work is complete and the roadway has been REOPENED.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, LA 3121 near the community of Taylortown in Union Parish is closed to through traffic.

This closure is necessary to allow DOTD crews to replace a cross drain pipe.

At this time, there is no estimated time for reopening. However, DOTD will issue additional information when it becomes available.

This closure is located approximately 2.5 miles south of the community of Lockhart (see included map).

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
