The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 175 Rehabilitation Project on Monday, April 22, 2024 and will continue for approximately (4) four months. This asphaltic concrete overlay and base stabilization project is located on LA 175 near its junction with LA 120 to near its junction with Ray Canton Rd. This 3.491 mile project will receive borrow, milling asphalt concrete, lime treatment, in-place cement treated subgrade, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Madden Contracting Co., LLC in the amount of $3,455,553.59.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin milling asphalt pavement on Monday, April 22, 2024 and the roadway will be open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a 12’ wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
