UPDATE: The emergency lane closure has been lifted, and all lanes are open.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that, effective immediately, the right lane of Interstate 10 Westbound near the Vinton Canal Bridge (Mile Marker 8.5) will be closed for emergency roadway maintenance.
DOTD will issue an update once the lane closure is lifted.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
