NIGHTLY LANE CLOSURES: I-20 EB – Monroe – Ouachita Parish

UPDATE 10/1/2024: The I-20 Orange Street Overpass Bridge is now open to all traffic. Construction is complete and no further lane closures are anticipated for I-20. All lanes are now open.
UPDATE 5/6/2024: The Orange Street Overpass Bridge will be closed to all traffic on Monday, May 13, 2024. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE 4/26/2024: The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Orange Street I-20 overpass in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, will be under construction beginning Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
This project will involve bridge structural repairs and repainting the affected area.
The project is expected to last ninety (90) days in which there will be nightly lane closures on I-20 Eastbound. The I-20 Eastbound lane closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, and is anticipated to be re-opened by 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15. Lane closures will continue nightly until the project is complete.
I-20 EB Exit 117B and I-20 EB On-ramp at Texas Avenue will be closed nightly during construction. The Orange Street Overpass Bridge will be closed to all traffic during structural repairs. All Orange Street Bridge traffic will be required to detour via the Texas Avenue Bridge.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
