ROAD CLOSURE: LA 34 (Mill Street) in Ouachita Parish

UPDATE: 5/16/2024 All repairs have been completed by the City and DOTD. The roadway was reopened at 7:15 AM this morning, May 16, 2024.
DOTD advises motorists that LA 34 at North 4th Street will be closed beginning Monday, April 1, 2024, for the City of West Monroe to repair sewer line.
Customers for the First West Thrift Store will be able to access the business from Stella Street. No access will be permitted to Mill Street (LA 34). Access to First West Church would be from N. 5th Street or N. 3rd Street.
This closure will remain in effect until all necessary repairs are completed.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 143 (North 7th Street), US 80 (Cypress Street), and back to LA 34 (Mill Street/Bridge Street).
