****NOW OPEN: LA 585 in West Carroll Parish****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Friday, March, 22, 2024, LA 585 will be closed to thru traffic approximately 3700 feet west of its intersection with LA 577 in West Carroll Parish. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of drainage culverts.
The LA 585 road closure is anticipated to last 2 days, and should be reopened Sunday, March 24, 2024.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour:
The detour route will be LA 584, LA 134, LA 17 and LA 577.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
