UPDATE: LA 717 between Harrys Road and Louisiana Avenue is now open to traffic.

Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that all lanes on LA 717 between Harrys Road and Louisiana Avenue (near milepost 5.5) will be closed to vehicle traffic, starting 5 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024.
The closure is necessary for crews to replace the Klondike Canal Bridge.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
