UPDATE (3/15/24): Due to weather related delays, the LA 545 bridge closure listed below has been extended through Friday, March 22, 2024, weather permitting.
(03/4/2024): The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, March 4th, the LA 545 Bridge over Darbonne Bayou in Lincoln Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.
The bridge will be closed approximately 2.7 miles north of LA 146 near Crossroads.
The closure is anticipated to last 2 weeks, and should be open Friday, March 15, 2024.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using LA 151, LA 152, LA 146, and LA 545.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
