The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting, US 171 Southbound at Ronayne Drive (just south of Vernon Lake approx. 1.5 miles) will be reduced to one lane for tree removal along the CPKC Railroad. The lane closure will be approx. 4.25 miles north of LA 117/LA 28.
Permit/Detour section
No detour will be needed as one lane will be open at all times. 16 ft of clearance will be available in the open lane.
