Calcasieu Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the right lane of Interstate 10 Eastbound from Mile Marker 8 (Exit 7) to Mile Marker 9 (Exit 8) will be closed, starting 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024, until 9 a.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024.

These will be continuous closures.

Alternate routes:
  • Motorists can exit onto US 90 at Exit 4 going North, turn right onto US 90 going East, turn right on LA 27 in Sulphur, and use the on-ramp to re-enter I-10 EB.
  • Motorists can exit onto LA 3063 at Exit 7 going North, turn right onto US 90 going East, turn right on LA 27 in Sulphur, and use the on-ramp to re-enter I-10 EB.

The closure is necessary for crews to perform shoulder reconstruction.
