The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that on Monday, January 29, 2024, construction began on US 165 in Grant Parish. This work began at the intersection of US 165 and LA 123 proceeds south for 7.757 Miles to the intersection of US 165 and LA 524.
This project consists of milling the existing asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt surface treatment, asphalt concrete pavement and other related work.
The project was awarded to the low bidder, Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC, in the amount of $5,739,628.56. The work associated with this project should take approximately 145 working days to complete.
Permit/Detour Section
Local and through traffic will be maintained at all times with no wide load restrictions, but there will be lane closures associated with this project.
