Iberville Parish- The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces an update for the LA 75 Bayou Breaux Bridge replacement project in Iberville Parish.
Construction on this project was suspended due to the original contractor defaulting on the contract. The representative bonding company has finalized agreements in selecting the completion contractor, JB James Construction, to finish the remaining work on the permanent bridge. Crews have begun site access work in preparation for full mobilization the week of January 22, 2024. The completion contractor has estimated a total of 4 months, excluding weather/holidays, to execute the remaining work items. Updates related to timelines and traffic configurations will be provided routinely as needed.
This $2.5 million project includes clearing and grubbing, removal of concrete bridge, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, class II base course, lime treatment, asphalt concrete pavement, precast concrete piles, concrete slab span bridge, and related work.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through construction sites, and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
