****NOW OPEN: LA 609 in Richland Parish****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Saturday, October, 21, 2023, LA 609 will be closed to thru traffic approximately 1.0 mile south of its intersection with I-20 in Richland Parish. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of drainage culverts.
The LA 609 road closure is anticipated to last 2 days, and should be reopened Sunday, October 22, 2023.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
