***UPDATE***Lane closure: LA 27 NB at Kelso Bridge: Monday Oct. 9-13, 2023, and Oct. 16-20, 2023 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the northbound lane of LA 27 at the Kelso Bridge will be closed, starting Monday, October 9, 2023, until Friday, October 13, 2023, and Monday, October 16, 2023, until Friday, October 20, 2023.
Closures will be 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform grid deck replacement. During these closures, traffic in the northbound and southbound directions will be maintained across Kelso Bridge with flaggers.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
