UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 148 (Okaloosa Rd), Jackson Parish (UPDATE 10/4/2023): DOTD advises motorists that the LA 148 bridge in Jackson Parish has been REOPENED. Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 148 bridge (Okaloosa Rd) over an unnamed creek in Jackson Parish is closed for necessary deck repairs.
This bridge is located approximately 3 miles southeast of the Town of Eros (see included map).
DOTD crews are assessing the bridge, and a timeline for repairs will be issued when that becomes available.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour.
Alternate Route: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
