UPDATE: The emergency lane closure has been lifted, and all lanes are now open.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that there will be an emergency closure of the right lane along Interstate 10 Westbound near Exit 8 between Mile Marker 8 and Mile Marker 9, starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2023.
The closures are necessary for crews to perform roadway maintenance.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
