ROAD CLOSURE: LA 3033

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, LA 3033 south of Caples Road, approximately 1.5 miles north of LA 34, in Ouachita Parish is closed.
This closure is due to a water line break and repair.
The water company has advised that repair are beginning this morning and is anticipated to be complete by Saturday, September 30, 2023, weather permitting.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour.
Alternate Route: Currently LA 3033 is closed also at Cheniere Spillway. Traffic south of Caples Road may continue south to LA 34. Traffic between Caples Road and the Cheniere Spillway Closure will have to use Elkins Road to access LA 34. No formal detour route has been established.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
