UPDATE: NOW OPEN!!!
Effective immediately, LA 3083 (Bayou Alexandre Highway), at Bayou Portage Road, is closed until further notice, for bridge repairs.
The detour consists of LA 3083, Bayou Benoit Levee Road, LA 96 and LA 679.
Emergency vehicles will not have access through the area.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
