The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) have issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Improvements Project (H.003931). The FEIS was prepared in accordance with applicable federal laws, regulations and executive orders including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) (42 United States Code [U.S.C.] Section 4332 (2) (C)) and 49 U.S.C. 303.

The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) evaluates alternatives for the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge Improvements Project along a nine (9) mile stretch of Interstate 10 (I-10) between the I-10/Interstate 210 (I-210) west and I 10/I-210 east interchanges in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. FHWA is the lead federal agency under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). LADOTD is the state agency responsible for the Project, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) are Cooperating Agencies. A No-Build Alternative and three Build Alternatives were evaluated in the Project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). A preferred alternative was identified in the DEIS.
