***NOW OPEN: LA 548 in Jackson Parish****
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Saturday, September, 16, 2023, LA 548 will be closed to thru traffic approximately 3200 feet east of its intersection with LA 34 in Jackson Parish. This road closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of drainage culverts.
The LA 548 road closure is anticipated to last 2 days, and should be reopened Sunday, September 17, 2023.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
Permit/Detour:
The detour route will be LA 548, LA 3033, and LA 34.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
