UPDATE - BRIDGE CLOSURE: LA 2 Alt. over Indian Creek, Webster Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 2 Alt. bridge over Indian Creek in Webster Parish is closed to traffic due to the condition of the structure.
This bridge is located approximately one mile west of the Claiborne Parish line, and about two miles east of the Village of Shongaloo.
UPDATE: This bridge will remain closed until a planned construction project that is currently in development commences. At this time, that replacement project is scheduled to go to bid in July 2026, though it's important to note that those dates can and of often change based on funding availability, project development, and other factors.
Restrictions/Permits: Total bridge closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
