Plaquemine/Sunshine ferry closed

BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is advising motorists that the Plaquemine/Sunshine ferry is currently closed due to landing repairs. No ferries will run during this time. The ferry is anticipated to reopen later today.
Motorists can find the latest status of the ferry by calling 511, visiting www.511la.org, or using the Louisiana 511 mobile app. Motorists can also visit the DOTD website at www.dotd.la.gov and select the “Find ferry & bridge status?” link on the right of the homepage.
